The Botanical Garden of the University of Porto is part of the second centre of the MHNC-UP, located in the former Quinta do Campo Alegre in Porto. It is a garden of great botanical, historical, artistic and literary interest, in which the interventions of the late 19th century and the second half of the 20th century stand out and whose history evokes important figures of 20th century Portuguese literature - Sophia de Mello Breyner Andresen and Ruben A. The garden houses the Biodiversity Gallery, a Live Science Centre dedicated to the dissemination of biological sciences, evolution and biodiversity, and the E-Learning Café - Botanical Garden of the U.Porto.
