The workshop begins with a presentation of the "Plan of Medieval Porto in 1500". Afterwards, participants are invited to form groups of four to creatively design an invented medieval city. On a large sheet of paper, they will first define the topographical conditions of the territory with rivers, flat areas and hills. Then, collages will be made of a parish church, a mendicant convent, fountains, an aqueduct, chapels, crosses, walls, dockyards, a bridge, ovens, watermills, mills, a town hall, a pillory and a gallows, defining the spaces along squares, streets and alleys.
At the end of this process, the participants will name the streets and the mentor will draw a general picture of each of the invented cities.
