In a world that is becoming increasingly digital and automated, where everything seems to exist for our convenience, it is admirable that we are still able to coexist with other beings. To respect their boundaries, allow them to be who they are and, sometimes, call them friends.
This exhibition is a simple reminder of something both ordinary and extraordinary: the animals with whom we share this world and who continue to trust us.
The six friends portrayed here crossed my path over the past few years in Portugal. Each has a story of their own. Just as we all do.
