"True Stories" is a musical comedy written and directed by David Byrne (Talking Heads), telling the story of the fictional town of Virgil, Texas, as it celebrates its 150th anniversary. The celebrations, a parade and a talent show, attract the strangest (and strangely musical) characters.

Featuring a cast that includes, alongside “narrator” David Byrne, John Goodman and Swoosie Kurtz, "True Stories" also features musical performances by Byrne and the Talking Heads.
