SYNOPSIS

“Trojans” draws on one of the greatest canons of theatrical literature to bring to the stage a story of sorority, empathy and the strength of women who, despite being victims of war, find ways to resist and survive. The show, directed by Pedro Vilela, from ESMAE's 2nd year of theater, explores the legacy of trauma and pain, crossing the ages in a timeless way, reflecting women's struggle in the face of despair and oppression. The staging is marked by rawness, bringing out the feminine dimension and revealing how the characters face loss and rebuild their lives in a world torn apart by violence. In each act, the show questions and challenges power structures, allowing the audience to reflect deeply on the role of women in history and society.
