Trio da Praia creates folk dances where music leads the way and dance brings people together.
It originated from one of the “Encontro PRAIA” events presented at the Rádio Faneca Festival and at Milha, both organized by the 23 Milhas cultural project of the Ílhavo City Council.
A gathering of three women, three paths, three languages united by movement, music, and shared expression—Isabel Savitri, Larissa Goretkin, and Renata Silva.
We present a World Traditional Dance Party where we blend mantras and original songs—composed and performed by Isabel and Larissa—with traditional themes.
Each song finds its corresponding dance, adapted and guided by Renata, so that everyone can participate in a gathering where we celebrate diversity, in an encounter between cultures, and
where we share the joy of dancing as a community, where tradition and contemporary creation go hand in hand.
______________
Dance Workshop
Before the dance… let’s learn to dance together!
So that everyone can join the circle with confidence, Trio da Praia invites you to a traditional dance workshop before the dance.
Let’s explore some of the steps and dynamics of the dances that will be featured throughout the evening, in a relaxed, welcoming, and fun atmosphere. No experience, partner, or dancing skills are necessary—just a willingness to try.
Afterward… just let the live music guide your steps and enjoy the dance!
