Erma, the feminine form of “ermo”. In this performance, Erma takes the form of a puppet girl who inhabits a space between the past, present, and future. Lost in situations she does not recognise and cannot remember, she wanders between memories and encounters with objects, her only friends. A journey unfolds through a visual poem that reflects loneliness in times of war. Following a simple narrative thread, the character’s inner voice introduces micro-narratives, whilst her journey across a map – marked by brief encounters with herself and other characters – gradually awakens her memory. With a unique aesthetic, the performance blends visual arts and the reuse of materials, exploring different techniques and scales of manipulation, and their relationship with the body. — Catarina Falcão
