In 2021, we decided to build a performative system using fragments of works that do not belong to us, but which we appropriated with the utmost rigour. All this while trying to survive a pandemic that forced Art to seek + originality, interactivity, virtuality.

Stealing, copying, appropriating – it kept us very busy!

Three years later, this Idea and this Duet (Carolina Santos and Susana Nunes) cannot remain in the drawer. We reduced, reused, recycled, devirtualised, de-technologised, and only two actresses remain on stage, very close to the audience, explaining why they chose each of the works they “stole” and reproducing them as best they can, given the circumstances.
