(...) The exhibition “The Great Unknown”, which I now present at Espaço 117 of Galeria Fernando Santos, is the culmination—though I do not regard it as an epilogue—of this journey that began in 2008. (...) In this exhibition, comprising more than one hundred pieces, works that migrate from previous projects come together with works created specifically for the occasion, as well as previously unseen pieces that have never been exhibited. The exhibition also brings together a series of objects from my private collection, which I have been gathering over time, and in which, through aesthetic and formal affinities, I am able to find echoes of kinship with possible artefacts in this imaginary museum that is “The Great Unknown.” A museum of false objects, devoid of historical veracity — a Museum of Unknowing.
