Soul Complex presents the new exhibition by Inês d'Orey dedicated to Chandigarh, a city built from scratch in 1950s India. Through photographic sculptures, Inês d'Orey creates a spatial and sensory experience that explores the legacy of Le Corbusier, Pierre Jeanneret, Jane Drew, Maxwell Fry and numerous Indian architects. True to her silent and rigorous gaze, the artist investigates institutional interiors, urban voids and subtle traces of human presence. Between monumentality and intimacy, the images reveal the tension between utopia and everyday life, highlighting architecture as an active force in the construction of identity and memory.
