Over the centuries, the relationship with musical instruments has undergone transformations: while some continued to captivate composers, others eventually faded into oblivion. Among the former, the clarinet stands out, having established itself across a wide range of musical genres. By the mid-1760s, Mozart had succumbed to its charm, incorporating it into numerous works, from symphonies and operas to chamber music. The score that opens this recital is one of the composer’s most admired pieces and was dedicated to his close friend and virtuoso clarinetist, Anton Stadler.
