Bamu's Open Classes Week continues with an evening dedicated to African American swing dances!

On Tuesday, we invite you to discover or deepen your understanding of two movement traditions rooted in African American culture and their close connection to jazz music.

At 7:10 PM, we begin with Intermediate Authentic Jazz, a solo dance celebrating musicality, improvisation and individual expression. A class for dancers with previous experience who want to explore new movements, rhythms and creative possibilities.

At 8:20 PM, it's time for Beginner Lindy Hop! Born in Harlem, New York, in the late 1920s, Lindy Hop is a social dance full of energy, creativity and connection. This class is perfect for anyone wanting to discover the basics and experience the joy of dancing to swing music.

At 9:45 PM, we finish with Intermediate/Advanced Lindy Hop, an opportunity for experienced dancers to deepen their musicality, partner communication and improvisation.
