São João Vegatariano 2025 will take place on June 23, from 7:00 p.m. to 12:30 a.m., at Rua do Breiner (in front of numbers 218 to 242). The event, free and open to the entire community, brings together 100% plant-based cuisine, socializing and music in a night of popular celebration with ethical and environmental awareness.

With the support of the associations Porto pelos Animais and Vila do Conde Animal Save, this initiative aims to offer a festive and inclusive alternative, combining the tradition of São João with an approach that respects animals and the planet.

The festival will feature social spaces, background music and the presence of vegan projects from the region, which will bring varied gastronomic proposals — from traditional seitans and caldo verde, snacks in a plant-based version to creative desserts, there will be gastronomic options for all tastes. The following projects will be present: Apuro, Chapeuzinho Verde, The Vegan Cake, 7 Pecados Vegetais and Not So Vegan Just Delicious.

São Vegetariano is more than a gastronomic event: it is a moment of community, activism and conscious celebration. It was created in 2011 by Porto pelos Animais with the desire to affirm that it is possible to maintain traditions without resorting to animal suffering, while promoting more sustainable and accessible food and is now back on the streets of Porto.
The event invites vegans, curious people and lovers of popular festivals to celebrate together in an ethical and inclusive way.
