"Over the course of a week, Casa da Música hosts the main category of the Santa Cecília International Competition, becoming the piano capital for dozens of pianists from around the world. After two solo elimination rounds and a quintet performance with soloists from the Symphonic Orchestra, the three finalists perform a concerto from the standard repertoire with the Porto Casa da Música Symphony Orchestra. The concert includes the awards ceremony, during which the winner will be announced."
