Romain Valentino takes the stage with Telmo Sousa (bass) and Ricardo Coelho (drums) to present L’Étoile et le Chariot, his debut album released in June. The album intertwines echoes from Brazil, the Iberian Peninsula, Latin America, Italy, and France, with lyrics in Portuguese and Italian born from intimate contradictions in search of collective transformation.
L’Étoile et le Chariot is Romain Valentino's first album, an Italian-French musician and composer based in Porto. After releasing the singles “Vender o País” and “Recado” (the latter featuring Luca Argel), Romain presented his debut album on June 20, 2025.
The project, whose title refers to the Marseille Tarot, was developed over years of creative sedimentation, incorporating a wide range of influences from Brazilian popular music, Latin American folklore, and Italian and French chanson. The result is a sound that defies typical musical categories.
