Re(De)Construction of Art is an interactive workshop/exhibition that explores the idea that art doesn't always have a final form and can transform in the spectator's eyes and imagination.
Artists are encouraged to bring work that they believe can be altered (something that no longer serves their vision, past work they no longer like, unfinished projects, or anything they want) and leave it at the disposal of the attendees to be transformed. The workshop aims to be as multimedia as possible, so any form of art is welcome.
At the same time, the attendees are welcomed to interact with the exhibits and alter them through a process of reconstructive decostruction. For example, they can repaint a painting, do a collage with old photos, continue unfinished poems, etc.
The main goal of the initiative is to awaken the idea that art can always transform both itself and its spectators. Meanwhile, we aim to motivate the resurgence of inner creativity while pushing the boundaries of how easily artists allow people to interfere with their work.
The project also welcomes performers to perform throughout the day (we are open to any type of performance) and musicians to accompany the event with their music.
The workshop is a collective project, but it is mainly organised by two individuals, so we would really appreciate it if artists contributed to the cause by bringing their work, accompanied by the materials they envision to be used on it by the public.
Open call for artists from 20th of May to 10th of June
