Porto Femme - International Film Festival returns to Porto from 16 to 21 April, where the screens will be revolutions!

In this 7th edition, Porto Femme will continue to focus on publicising the work of women and non-binary people in the seventh art, promoting equality and empowerment in the cinematographic universe. Once again, it will be a space for creative freedom, sharing and debate for everyone.

Porto Femme is a festival that, by its nature, has multiple dimensions and aims to celebrate the diversity of genres, themes and languages, promoting values of equality, justice and human rights.

This year's programme includes a tribute to director Margarida Cardoso, which will take place on 19 April at Batalha Centro de Cinema, where we will present her film, Understory, followed by a conversation moderated by Kitty Furtado.

During the festival, Hemi Fortes, from MUTIM - Mulheres Trabalhadoras das Imagens em Movimentos, will hold the workshop Introduction to the Art of Pitching and the CineDelas project will present its workshop Deconstructing stereotypes - cinema as a language for transformation.

As every year, there will be debates, Q&A sessions, exhibitions and concerts, among others.
