Based on the idea of ​​making a documentary about Fumaça, an independent journalism project, "Pequenas Resistências - Ideias sobre jornalismo, utopias & amor público" became a book of reflection on the importance of journalism and journalists in a context of global crisis in the sector and in a world in which freedom and democracy face renewed threats.

With a particular focus on the Fumaça podcast, the research covers other independent projects such as the now defunct Setenta e Quatro, Divergente or Mensagem de Lisboa, Portuguese expressions of a global trend that has sought to rethink journalism and its role in building a freer and fairer world.
