Based on the illustrations Pelos Cabelos, by João Vaz de Carvalho, Teatro de Marionetas do Porto creates a show inhabited by unusual characters, with absent and hallucinated gazes, where humour and absurdity merge for yet another experience with many puppets. In Pelos Cabelos, actors and puppets inhabit a place somewhere, a Lá, a distant, almost extra-terrestrial place.

There are no cars, no schools, no prisons, but there are rockets and birds and animals there too.

There, the audience watches some of the inhabitants of Lá pass through. They are unusual characters, but very special, like Mr Lint, the paintbrush couple, the woman Pilar, the dog, Mrs Cloud and others.

During the show, we go through some moments in the lives of these characters with their exuberant hair, something that distinguishes them and gives them a peculiar personality. — Teatro de Marionetas do Porto
