Bring your object and come tell us about yourself in a writing workshop that explores the narrative potential of objects. What memories and experiences are triggered by the selected object? We will work on approaching an intimate and personal dimension from the distance of an object. We will measure its affective dimension and explore its symbolic and metaphorical power. Finally, we will articulate these dimensions with its practical life and current use.

We will also work on narrative construction, based on literary examples of biography and autofiction. How do we tell stories and how do we tell our story? How do we find meaning? Together, we will decide on a possible exhibition of our joint work. Do we want to reveal our stories? Do we want to show our objects? And tell a story?...

• Presentation of the proposal: writing about oneself based on a personal object.

• Presentation of objects brought by the participants

• Initial guided exercises focusing on observation and memory triggers

This will be the first of 4 sessions, and subsequent sessions are reserved only for the group formed in this first session. The remaining sessions will take place on February 13th, 18th, 27th, and March 4th.
