Polyphony: Practice and Exploration
The choral singing workshop with Sara Yasmine offers a space for gathering and experimentation through collective voice. Drawing on the practice of polyphony, participants will be invited to explore different dimensions of group singing in an accessible and inclusive environment.
Throughout the session, we will focus on humanising collective singing, promoting active listening and the connection between voices. The repertoire will serve as a starting point for exploring poetic and musical expressiveness, integrating movement and physical presence into the warm-up and vocal practice.
Technical aspects such as timbre, pronunciation and harmony will also be addressed, based on two musical arrangements, as well as fundamental principles of vocal health, essential for a conscious and sustainable practice.
Sara Yasmine is a vocal facilitator and artist dedicated to exploring collective singing as a practice of expression, listening and connection. With experience in leading groups and working with polyphony, she integrates approaches that combine vocal technique, movement and artistic sensitivity, creating inclusive spaces where each voice finds its place within the whole.
Target audience: open to anyone interested, with or without experience
Time: 10.00 am – 1.00 pm
What to bring: a notepad, a bottle of water and comfortable clothing.
