In this workshop, led by Vlada Tomova, we will dive into both understanding and practising the unique elements of traditional Bulgarian folk singing.
Together, we’ll explore tone production, odd rhythms and melodic ornamentation and stylistic nuances found in Bulgarian music. We'll also take up breath and muscle control, essential for mastering this typical vocal style. As part of the workshop, we’ll learn two traditional songs from different ethnographic regions of Bulgaria.
