What do children have to say about the city—or cities? How do they imagine the city of the future?
The idea behind this workshop is to literally “plant” their vision of the city. Guided by Vanessa Espínola, children will begin with a visit to the exhibition *“E SE?... Constellations of Ways of Living Urban Space.”* After exploring the projects on display, they will move beyond being simple visitors and become active participants in a small assembly held in the Foundation’s garden.
From that moment on, each child will be invited to unleash their imagination and contribute to the creation of a temporary installation made up of elements produced throughout the workshop. Drawings, phrases, ideas, and a sound device that allows visitors to listen to the children’s own voices will all be “planted” in the space.
The work created during the workshop will remain in the Garden and can be visited throughout the duration of the exhibition.
All materials will be provided. Just register and join us!
Participation is free of charge, but places are limited to a maximum of 15 participants. Therefore, registration is required in advance by email at fims@reit.up.pt. To register, simply use «o jardim das cidades imaginadas» as the subject line and include the child’s name and age in the email.
