The next Não se Passa Nada às Segundas takes us to 859 Rua da Alegria and brings us Japan's Ni-HAO: proof that madness really is the best cure for a Monday, and that there has always been so much more beyond punk.
Formed in 1999 somewhere between the potholes and overpasses of Tokyo, the quartet—described by El País as "one of the most frenetic live bands around today"—turns Porto into a friendly war zone (if such a thing exists). The basement at AL 859 becomes the perfect bunker to take shelter in, amid bursts of electronics, volleys of punk rock, and an entire arsenal of voices unleashed from the stage, all conspiring to make our Monday just a little bit happier.
