murmura is a duo dedicated to writing and performing songs.
With a focus on the lyrical and instrumental content, we seek to explore the connections between traditional music and the contemporary world of independent music. Words, music and sound all contribute equally to the creation of intimate soundscapes that evoke the popular imagination.

murmura’s music is imbued with melancholy and lyricism and seeks to connect intimately with its listeners. It is composed of vocals, lyrics, plucked strings, sounds recorded from everyday life, the adufe, small percussion instruments and electronic instruments.
With influences rooted primarily in Iberian and South American folk music, we seek a sonic synthesis of electro-acoustic atmospheres drawn from old songs and moments captured from our everyday soundscapes.
