Friday, July 3rd, we will welcome our masters Edson Moreira and Vanderléia Jovino for a Kirtan and Bhajan session.
For those who have never practiced mantras, this is a good opportunity to learn some and to feel the true essence of this practice in the depths of your being. We will work on breathing and vocalization, primarily opening the throat chakra (Vishuddha) and the heart chakra (Anahata), but the effects of this practice resonate throughout all the chakras, the entire body, and the mind.
Sanskrit is an ancient language and the oldest in the world, especially characterized by the phonemes of a word being related to its meaning.
In mantras, the organization of words is done in sequences that are highly beneficial to the Self and the Universe (a hopefully unnecessary distinction), both for their meaning and for their tradition, which spans more than 5000 years.
These sequences of words possess the power of all those who have already chanted them and those who will yet chant them; they are bridges connecting us to the divine within, shortening distances.
Mantras are also a blessing for the practitioner, benefiting from high energetic work, being able to memorize them and refer to them at every step.
Let us then join together to chant from the heart, on July 3rd at 9:00 PM.
