Did you know the origin of Chinese New Year is about a monster called Nian? Ever wondered how the twelve Chinese zodiac animals had their order?
This Chinese New Year weekend, February 22nd, 6-8pm, bring your family to PAZ-Performnce Arts Center - as Chinese perfomer Jintong Yu immerses you into the world of these ancient tales and takes you to travel through China’s rich artistic history— from ancient songs and poems of 900 AD, to the glamorous nightlife of 1940s Shanghai, sweeping powerful Mongolian dance, jazz-pop of the 1980s, and many more.
After a series of spectacular performances, you’re also invited to get hands-on by creating traditional red paper-cut window decorations and festive lanterns.
Come enjoy, listen, learn, and celebrate the Year of Horse together.
