Porto, Portugal — Emerging artist Lonny McLaughlin and designer Eduardo Fischer-Torres invite art and fashion lovers, critics and gallery representatives to the exhibition Echoes in Time at CC Bombarda Catapulta Gallery. This exhibition marks a pivotal moment in McLaughlin’s practice as he explores layered memory, texture and time through collaboration with designer Eduardo Fischer‑Torres, who transforms the paintings into a limited-edition handmade men’s shirt collection.

McLaughlin’s work is rooted in his life in Porto, where each surface, wall and street‑corner seems to carry the weight of history. His latest body of work reflects this sensibility: acrylic on archival paper pieces that reveal what lies beneath the visible, much like the aged façades of the city. The collection’s palette—earthy ochres, muted greys and bold contrast—evokes the sunlit granite, peeling paint and graffiti traces of Porto’s lived environment.
