"It is impossible to tell the story of the last five decades of Portuguese music without mentioning Lena d’Água. With an unmistakable voice and a career marked by reinvention and boldness, the artist will take the stage at Sala Suggia in Casa da Música, Porto, on October 19, at 9:00 p.m.
The concert is produced by Plano B, one of the city’s most emblematic cultural venues, which has been promoting culture in Porto for over 19 years. This time, it steps out of its home in the city center to present a unique show.
With “honey” in her voice and “venom” in her life, Lena d’Água keeps her gifts intact: the unique timbre, the perfect diction, and the feline intuition to “attack” songs. Her return to recording came with Tropical Glaciar, released at the end of 2024 and considered one of the year’s best albums. Like its acclaimed predecessor, Desalmadamente, this new work was composed by Pedro Silva Martins (Deolinda) and intensely and poetically reflects the artist’s restlessness and wonder at the unfolding of the world.
In October, Casa da Música will host a journey through the history of one of the greatest voices in Portuguese music. Tickets are already available on Casa da Música’s website, priced between €15 and €24." — Plano B
