TouchDesigner is powerful real-time visual creation software, widely used in VJing, immersive installations, interactive design, and other creative and technical fields. Its node-based workflow makes it accessible to beginners, while offering virtually infinite possibilities for advanced users.

In this 4-hour introductory workshop, we will explore the fundamentals of the interface and essential concepts, such as operators, networks, and real-time rendering. We will build a simple generative and audio-reactive visual together, providing a first hands-on experience with how TouchDesigner works and its potential. The aim is to provide a solid foundation that allows participants to continue experimenting independently.

Requirements:

Participants must bring a laptop with the free non-commercial version of TouchDesigner installed (https://derivative.ca/download).

A three-button mouse is also required.

No prior experience is necessary — just curiosity and a willingness to explore real-time digital creation.
