With this course, we aim to provide an introduction to needle felting for those who wish to explore the full sculptural potential that wool has to offer.
The course will be led by Ana Rita de Arruda, an artist and tutor with in-depth knowledge of wool and the techniques used to work with it.
The object created will be made from nothing but wool: through its creation, we will explore numerous techniques for constructing and creating three-dimensional objects using needle felting.

In this session, the object we will be creating is Van Gogh’s ear! Our aim is to create an anatomically realistic piece, and to this end, we will draw inspiration from an iconic ear and a fascinating story. Through this project, we will learn to create the effects, colour blends, structures and textures that will enable us to create many other objects.

The workshop is suitable for those with no prior experience, as well as for those who wish to explore this aspect of felting in greater depth.
