Talking is like reading a good book, said Marcel Proust, to explain that what differs between a book and a friend is not their wisdom, but the way we communicate, maintaining the desire for inspiration. As a democratic exercise, orality is fundamental in childhood: children like to speak and be heard, they like stories in which they can express their points of view, they like to decide, ask questions, play and participate in the multiple ways playful activities propose. They speak while playing and explore the world by speaking! What we propose in this event - in which we will explain the work developed in issue nº6 of Cadernos de Sociologia -, is a conversation about childhood, free time and playfulness. A journey to remember ‘territories of childhood’ that have been taking shape over time.
