Synthpop exploded onto the scene in the 1980s, producing some of the decade’s most iconic songs. During this Hora de Ponta session, we invite you to listen some of these hits and try to understand what characterises this musical genre that turned machines into instruments of pop music.

Hora de Ponta is a weekly event organised by Fonoteca Municipal do Porto. Every Wednesday between 6 pm and 7 pm, the public is invited to visit the space for an informal gathering and to listen to a selection of themed records.
