Aimed at younger children, 'Tessellation' art workshop takes its inspiration from ‘Bara, Bara, Bara’, an installation by the Mexican artist Pia Camil, created from sewn-together T-shirts and currently on display in the courtyard of Galeria Municipal do Porto.
The workshop involves an exercise in visual composition, using geometric shapes that join together and multiply. In this activity, organised as part of Feira do Livro do Porto, other cut-outs – such as words, books, magazines, newspapers and other printed materials – will be incorporated into the composition.
