Mexican artist Pia Camil was challenged to create an installation for the courtyard of Galeria Municipal do Porto. The result is “Sharing”, a large-scale textile project comprising second-hand clothing, much of which was donated by the city’s residents. Located at the intersection of art and recreational space, the installation reflects Camil's exploration of collaborative practices, industry, production societies, and individual and collective consciousness in the contemporary era.
'Sharing' will remain on display until October, transforming the GMP courtyard into a space to be observed and inhabited during the hottest months of the year.
