GLÜLT is an invented word, with no fixed meaning. It emerges from an imagined onomatopoeia - perhaps the sound of something falling into water - while also echoing Brüllt, the German verb meaning “to roar”. Between impact and instinct, between sound and absurdity, the universe of this performance takes shape.
In this solo work, Rui Paixão sets out to distill the art of clowning to its purest form: a refined, stylized, and deeply physical exercise. He guides the audience through a deliberately incoherent experience, where intensity, imagination, and direct interaction become the gateway to a territory where anything can happen.
