On July 26 at 6:00 pm, we’ll meet at Largo de São Pedro for a walk with Chileani artist Paula Aros, who will present -ō-𝙨𝙞𝙨, a project developed during her residency at Central Elétrica. The work bridges art and science, exploring insect metamorphosis as a metaphor for the transformations of women’s bodies and minds.
We’ll continue to Pavilhão do Vitória, where we welcome the Brazilian collective Pavilhão da Magnólia – a national highlight at the Shell Theatre Award, one of Brazil’s most prestigious theatre prizes – with their performance 𝙃á 𝙪𝙢𝙖 𝙛𝙚𝙨𝙩𝙖 𝙨𝙚𝙢 𝙘𝙤𝙢𝙚ç𝙤 𝙦𝙪𝙚 𝙣ã𝙤 𝙩𝙚𝙧𝙢𝙞𝙣𝙖 𝙘𝙤𝙢 𝙤 𝙛𝙞𝙢 (“There’s a party with no beginning that doesn’t end with the end”), a piece that celebrates resistance and joy as forms of existence.
At dinner time, we’ll serve traditional Brazilian feijoada and a selection of typical snacks.
The party continues at 9:30 pm with the vibrant energy of Batucada Radical, a percussion group that, since 1994, has used music as a form of political protest and cultural expression in the streets of Porto.
All performances are free of charge!
