Vidro Pantera - Estilhaços de Heiner Müller (Panther Glass—Shards of Heiner Müller) is a flash tour through the universe of the German playwright. Animated by bodies, objects, masks, and puppets, this production, created in partnership by Teatro de Ferro and Alma d’Arame, explores the multiplicity of worlds contained within Müller’s work.
This Müllerian kaleidoscope brings together fragments of plays, poems, interviews, jokes, theoretical and biographical texts, and even a sitcom episode. Against a landscape of ruins in a constant state of reconstruction, Müller reveals and conceals himself behind his texts in a dance with the spectre of the angel of history—of a recent history that we may never be equipped to tell.
Together with Maiakovski - o Regresso do Futuro (Mayakovski—The Return of the Future), co-created by Teatro de Ferro and Teatro de Marionetas do Porto, and presented at fimp’22, also at Teatro Carlos Alberto, Vidro Pantera - Estilhaços de Heiner Müller forms a diptych by Igor Gandra devoted to two of the great poets of the so-called ‘actually existing socialism’ of the 20th century.
