Os Quintais da Memória (The Backyards of Memory)
Emílio revisits significant episodes from his childhood in the backyard of the house where he grew up. It is from this deeply personal place that memories emerge, summoned by the objects he finds there. Every trace becomes a portal leading us through the neighbourhood’s hidden backyards and the stories of its colourful dwellers, evoking a time of innocence and vulnerability marked by uncertainty; a childhood lived on the edge of the incomprehensible—and often absurd—world of adults, where imagination, play and affection remain the only means of resistance and survival.

The duo Rui Oliveira and Ana Saltão (well known to Porto audiences not only for their stage work but also as the driving force behind the much-missed Contagiarte) return to Porto to present one of the first productions of their new project ArtePlusArs, based in Almada.
