A masterclass where the goal is to play, laugh, mime, and tell stories? Yes! That and so much more. Creator Marie Delhaye proposes a moment of sharing and practice around the theatrical language that Compagnie Karyatides explores in its performances: Object Theatre. Some objects that Marie will bring in the company’s suitcase, and some that participants are encouraged to bring from their attics and wooden chests: figurines, postcards, paintings, holiday souvenirs, kitschy Christmas presents, or little figurines from grandma’s collection. From these objects and everyone’s imagination, new stories will emerge. And from those stories, countless others. ‘The object is merely a pretext. A way of speaking about ourselves. Or about the world.’
