FIAT NOX is a film built on a structural relationship with puppet theatre, set design, masks, and music, and is currently in the process of being created. Its script draws on certain historical facts woven together in the spirit of Surrealist aesthetics. Set in Paris at the height of the First World War, FIAT NOX aims at exploring the possibilities of aesthetic renewal in the context of a conflict on a planetary scale.
In this process of making theatre with cinema in mind (or is it the other way around?), there will be many a presentation all throughout. Somewhere between the lecture-performance and the guided tour of the studio—where sets have been assembled, and the cast composed of dozens of puppets is present—a space will be created in which visitors will witness the birth of a film in real time. The construction of both puppets and set, the interplay between puppets and live actors, the lighting design adapted to each scene, and the filming of the performance will all be revealed. The doors of Teatro de Ferro are open to anyone wishing to witness this creative journey as it unfolds.
Let the filming begin. All are welcome!
