In an attic that is also an archive, Sankofa is a puppet that appears to be a woman. She is also a chorus of simultaneous voices moving through stories and history. Alongside her, a woman-actress: both manipulate each other while dancing and touching the Archive.

With this new creation, Red Cloud Teatro de Marionetas presents a critical fable—a documentary and fictional theatre experience that draws on figures and memories made invisible by Portuguese society at the beginning of the 20th century, spanning different eras all at once.
