“Eish! KA Medo!” (Ooh! Scary!) This is a multidisciplinary workshop on the making and manipulation of animated objects aimed at children, developed in Portuguese-speaking African countries between 2023 and 2025, with the support of fimp.

Building on a reflection on the human condition, the workshop explored fear as a primordial and universal emotion. Through drawing, plastic arts creation, and performance, children were invited to imagine, represent, and transform their fears into animated objects. The result is a collection of works that attests to the creativity, courage, and ability of each participant to reinvent their own narrative.

Following stops in Cape Verde, Guinea-Bissau, and São Tomé and Príncipe, the project is now coming to Porto to present an exhibition bringing together the outcomes of these journeys and creative encounters, accompanied by guided tours for visitors of all ages.
