Through her exhibition "Let the River Flow", Reman Sadani invites participants to reflect on how we engage with memory, history, and personal archives.
The workshop considers contexts in which gaps and discontinuities affect access to historical records, as well as moments when cultural production is disrupted. Participants are invited to bring a found material, such as a photograph, object, text, film, video, sound recording, plant, or any other element from a personal archive. Exploring through practical exercises how these questions arise within their own practices and personal engagements with the past.
The activities will be developed at TORRE, a film and media lab dedicated to analogue image practices, equipped with 8mm and 16mm projectors, slide projectors, and light tables for the viewing of film and archival materials.
