DESCARGA is a project that promotes the meeting of various artistic practices through jam sessions. It is a space of total artistic freedom, where the exercise of improvisation is promoted among people from various artistic fields (dance, music, theatre, spoken word, photography, visual arts, among others). It's a safe, leaderless space with monthly meetings in Porto. Each jam lasts three hours, with the first thirty minutes dedicated to a collective warm-up, guided by the project's founder, Rina Marques. The DESCARGA team also includes Sara Ferreira, a visual artist and photographer.
