Through this gathering, we seek to share the essence of our culture with the Portuguese people who welcome us today — peoples whose histories intertwine and who have so many stories to tell together. Through rhythm, music, energy, and movement, we hope to create a space for sharing, harmony, and celebration. Each dance is a living narrative: it tells the story of our people, our traditions, and the strength that unites us.

This workshop is open to everyone, regardless of age, background, or experience, because we believe that dance is a universal language that speaks to the heart.

José Jalane was born in Maputo and is a dancer, choreographer, capoeira practitioner, physical education instructor, and yoga teacher. Since 2016, he has been a member of Companhia CulturArte, under the direction of Panaibra Gabriel. He is currently performing in Victor Hugo Pontes’s productions "BANTU" and "Há qualquer coisa prestes a acontecer" (Something Is About to Happen).

Dinís Abudo is a Mozambican dancer and performer who began his professional career in traditional and popular dance. He is currently performing in Victor Hugo Pontes’s production "BANTU" and "Cassandra", by Ballet Contemporâneo do Norte.
