The Porto Summer School on Art & Cinema — organised by the School of Arts and the Centre for Research in Science and Technology of the Arts of the Portuguese Catholic University — is an advanced course in new film and visual arts practices, combining critical thinking and contact with contemporary film and art creators. The 2024 edition, which runs from 17 to 21 June, focuses on the theme "It wasn't Cabral: reviewing silences and omissions", looking at new ways of seeing history through artistic practices. In addition to the daily workshops, the Summer School has a public programme consisting of film screenings and exhibitions. Batalha is hosting one of these sessions, featuring filmmaker and visual artist Keila Sankofa.
