Cultivar a Proximidade x Lovers&Lollypops
Amid cables, knobs, frequencies, and curiosity, the Sociedade de Música Orgânica do Bonfim returns for another collective experience where creation unfolds in real time. Integrated into the Cultivating Proximity project and driven by Lovers&Lollypops, this pop-up orchestra invites musicians and participants — with or without previous experience — to join a performance that challenges the boundaries between concert, rehearsal, and sound laboratory. Synthesizers, drum machines, samplers, keyboards, and other electronic instruments become tools for connection and improvisation, in an environment open to discovery and experimentation.
Following its remarkable debut at Perímetro 2024, the initiative now takes over the Lavadouro das Fontaínhas, transforming this singular space into a living stage of listening, collaboration, and surprise. Under the direction of Henrique Apolinário — a musician, sound designer, and creator recognized for his work across performance, theatre, and experimental composition — participants will be guided through an intense and immersive session where the group’s energy becomes the essential raw material.
On June 13, from 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM, up to 10 participants will have the opportunity to take part in this ephemeral and unrepeatable creation. More than a workshop or a concert, this is a call to collective imagination: a moment to create proximity through sound, presence, and shared experience.
About the organizer
Lovers&Lollypops is a record label and promoter based in Bonfim that releases albums by Portuguese and international bands. Active since 2005, the company has already released more than 150 records, organized national and international tours, and produced concerts for both Portuguese and international artists.
It is a partner of the Cultivating Proximity project and responsible for organizing this 19th session of the initiative.
About the conductor
Henrique Apolinário is a musician and sound designer working across many formats and instruments, moving fluidly between studio, stage, and control room, embracing with equal pleasure and precision the roles of conductor, technician, creator, and performer. With a background in music, theatre, and studio engineering, his work spans a broad spectrum — from solo concerts for boiling dancefloors to the experimental direction of string ensembles. Across this diversity, he consistently maintains a focus on physicality, improvisation, emotional intensity, laughter, and terror.
He regularly releases albums and EPs through projects such as Zancudo Berraco, Qir Alin, and Ensemble Quiromático, with which he performs frequently at festivals and in a variety of contexts. He also collaborates regularly on transdisciplinary productions with several theatre companies and artistic collectives — especially Teatro do Frio and Acendalha. He is also the founder of the music label MURZ.
If you have a passion for music and for Fontaínhas, come be part of it!
