The Coral de Letras da Universidade do Porto welcomes the Conard Solo Choir, a chamber choir from Connecticut, USA, for an evening of musical exchange between two ensembles with distinct histories and traditions.

Led by Samuel Eurich, the Conard Solo Choir is the flagship choral ensemble of Conard High School in West Hartford, with a repertoire spanning the Renaissance to recently composed works and biennial tours across Europe performing in cathedrals and concert halls.

The Coral de Letras da U.Porto, celebrating 60 years of history this year, is one of Portugal's most prestigious choral ensembles, with a body of work ranging from a cappella music to choral-symphonic repertoire. The ensemble has a particular dedication to Portuguese repertoire and is conducted by maestro Pedro Guedes Marques.

Tonight's programme features sacred repertoire chosen specifically for the acoustics and architecture of Igreja dos Clérigos.
