Linda Martini, one of the most important alternative rock bands in Portugal, celebrates the 20th anniversary of their first feature-length album, “Olhos de Mongol,” with a concert on November 11th at Coliseu Porto Ageas. In this concert, part of SON Estrella Galicia programming, the band will play the entire album that reshaped Portuguese alternative rock.
It was in 2006 that Linda Martini ventured into their first album. After the self-titled EP in 2004, the band embarked on a studio adventure with a nine-song lineup that remains in the collective memory of their fans and persists in the band's live show setlists.
Undisputedly one of the most powerful live bands on the national scene, Linda Martini stands out for its evolving sound, which they began developing over the last two decades and which has taken them to major stages in Portugal as well as international performances.
André Henriques (vocals and guitar), Cláudia Guerreiro (bass), Hélio Morais (drums) and Rui Carvalho (guitar) promise a night to remember, with anthems such as "Dá-me a tua melhor faca", "Amor é não haver polícia" or "Amor Combate".
The new SON Estrella Galicia cycle has been showcasing essential artists, festivals and landmark venues in various countries, joining forces with the Coliseu through Coliseu Box. Linda Martini succeed Alice Phoebe-Lou, who earlier this year inaugurated the new Coliseu Porto Ageas venue.
